Anesthetic Gas Receiving System (AGS) connection

Allows to connect an active or passive scavenger system to remove excess gases.

The AGS anesthetic gas receiving system is intended for the following purposes:

– Extracting and removing excess anesthetic gas and expiratory gas

– Reducing the concentration of anesthetic agent around anesthetic workstations

– Filtering and scavenging contaminated expiratory gases during ventilation

– Scavenging sample gases from monitors

The AGS anesthetic gas receiving system operates as an "open system". The excess anesthetic gases/expiration gases are channelled into the buffer container of the receiving system, from where they are exhausted in a continuous volumetric stream via the transfer system into the disposal system. The openings in the receiving system prevent any increase in expiratory pressure or any negative pressure in the breathing system.
