Dismantling the Compact Breathing System

  • Remove all breathing hoses
  • Remove the ventilation hose.
  • Remove the fresh gas hose from the breathing system.
  • Remove the scavenger hose.
  • Remove the flow sensor cable.
  • Remove the O2 sensor cable.
  • Remove the breathing pressure cable.
  • Remove the COSY shielding, being careful to guide any cables from the slots in the side of the cover.
  • Detach the APL-bypass and the PEEP/PMAX lines from the breathing system and from the side of the machine.
  • Remove the absorber.
  • Remove the compact breathing system.
  • Remove plug for the inspiration dome.
  • Dismantling the Inspiratory and expiratory Valves

  • Unscrew the retaining nuts.
  • Remove the inspection caps.
  • Extract the valve discs.
  • Remove the gaskets on top of the valve discs.
  • Removing the Flow Sensor

  • Loosen fitting on the expiration port.
  • Remove the flow-sensor guard.
  • Extract the flow sensor.
  • Dismantling the APL Valve

  • Unscrew the retaining nut.
  • Remove the APL valve.
  • Unscrew the waste gas outlet port.
  • Dismantling Parts of the Ventilator

  • Open the ventilator door.
  • Disconnect the ventilator chamber pressure sensor line from the ventilator chamber pressure sensor line port.
  • Unlock the three clasps.
  • Remove the cover.
  • Remove the ventilator diaphragm.
