Compact Breathing System
The Compact Breathing System delivers the intended (set) inspired gas mixture to the patient and permits easy removal of waste exhaled gases. As the set inspired gas passes through the breathing system it is warmed and humidified by the soda lime. Additionally the integrated heating plate warms the passing gas while reducing condensating water in the system.

- Breathing Bag
For manual ventilation. Allows to assist, control or observe ventilation. - Y-piece
Connects the Apollo Workstation with the breathing hoses. May have optional filters. - Inspiratory and expiratory hoses
Transport the gas mixture to and from the patient during ventilation. - APL (Adjustable Pressure Limiting) Valve
Limits maximum pressure during manual ventilation and exhausts excess gas into the scavenger system during manual and spontaneous ventilation.
On the pressure control valve APL, you can select
between manual ventilation Man. and spontaneous
breathing Spont.
To adjust settings with the APL (Adjustable Pressure Limiting Valve) Valve, proceed as follows
1. Turn the adjustment knob to switch between manual and spontaneous modes
2. In manual mode rotate clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease pressure
3. Pull up the APL valve to release pressure temporarily - Integrated heater
The integrated heater reduces buildup of condensed water, better humidification and breathing gas temperature right from the start.
